We went to the beach on Sunday
We played and we had a ball
But we took it easy while knowing
We’re going to be here a week after all
We didn’t got to the beach on Monday
For this I have to explain
Maybe we’ll go tomorrow, we said
But, today all we have is this rain
We went to the beach on Tuesday
But only for a moment or two
For there was a chill in the air
That made all our lips turn blue
We went to the beach on Wednesday
But came back as quick as you please
We got sand in our eyes and in our face
As the wind was a 30 mile breeze
We didn’t go to the beach on Thursday
For again the sky let loose with the rain
And the forecast for tomorrow
Calls for the same again
